MID The Art Reach Project

Mid the Art Reach Project is an initiative that reaches out to all corners of the world with a message of peace, love and beauty from the Middle East.  The aim of MID is to celebrate the exquisite artisanal, cultural and artistic work of the region in a modern and refined way.  Our gift items are an embodiment of our ethos, with sustainable and ethical practices always at the forefront of our mission.  Our fine wooden puzzle WOOD represents and reflects the diverse and unique art of the Arab world.  Maryam The Palestinian Doll is an homage to the woman of Palestine.  A limited edition and collector’s item, the doll seeks to highlight the important role that culture and traditional dress play in the Palestinian narrative.

The story we bring is original, sincere and heartfelt.  It is a very special journey of looking into and rediscovering this rich, ancient region with the eye of a modern global citizen.

WOOD in Arabic means; to care, appreciate and respect.  It is a reminder of what really counts: the wellbeing of our community and the wellbeing of the environment.  WOOD’s fine wooden puzzles reflect these values through art. For the first time, the paintings of renowned artists from the MENA region are available for us all to own, see and appreciate.. Once they have been pieced together of course.  The WOOD puzzle comes in a 250, 500 and 1000 piece puzzle.  The painting is vibrantly printed on traditional wooden puzzle pieces using the finest and most up-to-date technology, making the WOOD puzzle a great gift idea to ourselves and our loved ones.  It’s hard to only own one.. There are seven paintings to choose from, the artists hailing from Jordan, Palestine, Egypt and Tunisia. Learn more.

Maryam, The Palestinian Doll is a labour of love and an homage to the Palestinian woman, mother, wife and daughter who has endured hardship and strife throughout the occupation of Palestine.  She is the unknown soldier, the unsung heroine.

The doll showcases the pride and joy of the Palestinian community: the embroidery, in Arabic ‘tatreez’ is a 3000 year old traditional cultural expression by rural Palestinian women showcasing their place of origin, social/marital status and daily life through the variety of colors, motifs, patterns and fabrics.  It is now a major symbol of Palestinian identity in the face of occupation, and a source of income for the families that have been displaced as a result.
